Figurative work is my complete passion. Since a boy I have had an aesthetic obsession with the human form inspired by the beautiful and challenging compositions found in the sculptures of Bernini and Giambologna. Born from this long tradition and personal admiration of classical styling I have applied these influences in my own approach to figurative realism.
For me, a commission to sculpt a renaissance influenced piece such as the bronze armored figure of Christopher Moran at Crosby Hall was a dream made true, enabling me to flex my muscles in achieving the quality and stylization normally found in sculptures of a by-gone era.
